Gantt Chart
I created this Gantt chart to outline our remaining tasks for our Capstone project. I included out approximate starting dates and the estimated time frame for each stage of production to be completed. This allows us to see which tasks we are currently working on and what we will be coming up in the near future. As well as that, this allows us to see which time frames will be the busiest due to different tasks being worked on at the same time. For example, we can see that from October 7 to 17, we will be very busy because there are 5 different tasks being done within those 10 days. However, these are only estimates and we cannot guarantee that some stages will be finished by the exact date listed. These dates are subject to change as we continue working on this project.
Budgeting Issues
Unfortunately, the speed of production during this phase has been slower than we were hoping for because our budget is tight at the moment. We are currently prioritizing the specific shots that will be shown in the trailer, instead of animating entire scenes at once. This will allow us to make sure we finish the trailer by the end of the semester, and once we have graduated we will be able to pick up production and finish the entire pilot episode. Additionally, we hope that this pilot will gain attention through social media and other platforms to gain an audience. In the future we will create a Kickstarter (or some other fundraising campaign) to gather funds to continue the pilot’s production. The money earned will be distributed to the artists and other project assets.
This phase, only animators were assigned work so we did not spend any funds on graphics, music, or actors. The first table listed below shows the payments made after 8/30. The second table shows the same data included with the previous entries made in Phase 01, and it calculates the current total costs.
