Employee List

This Excel spreadsheet is posted in our group Google Drive so that it can be referenced at any time. The people we have hired for this project all reach out to us through email, so this table highlights the key notes about each employee such as their pay rate, their area of expertise, or what shot they have been assigned to animate. We have been hiring people since May of 2019 and we are continuing to bring on new talent for this project.

This spreadsheet is relatively simple because I am still learning how to use all of Microsoft Excel's capabilities. In the future I hope to make more efficient spreadsheets that have various abilities to make it easier to keep track of assignments, employees, pay rates, and other notes that are crucial to our capstone.

Receipt Spreadsheets

All payment receipt stubs are collected into a Google Word Doc, and the information from each image is then documented into this spreadsheet that auto-calculates the cost of each production group. Because there are so many different artists involved in this process, we have a separate spreadsheet just to show the cost breakdown between concept art, storyboards, environment art, and animation.

This spreadsheet takes advantage of the Excel calculator to try and reduce the chance of errors. At the beginning of this project, I was calculating costs for each category by hand and I often had to go back and correct my numbers. Now, I am able to more effectively keep track of all payments made, and I am more confident that the numbers are correct. This also allows me to update the spreadsheets much more quickly. I update these spreadsheets as soon as I receive a receipt stub so that I don't miss any important payments, which ensures our numbers are always up to date and accurately reflect what we are spending.

Assignments Spreadsheets

This table was created by my partner Jax and shows the breakdown of all the shots in the current rendition of the trailer. Each shot is assigned to one of our artists and we have assigned them a due date to have the final shot finished by. This spreadsheet allows us to keep track of when they started working, what stage of production they are currently on, and if they have been paid yet. This also helps us identify what scenes and shots need to be prioritized in order to finish the entire one minute trailer before the end of the semester. (NOTE: Shots with "NA" under the Paid column are being personally animated by Jax)
